Two volunteers planting a tree

Lend a hand for local energy

Bronsgroen is the citizen cooperative that invests in solar and wind in our province together with hundreds of people from Limburg. That only works because there are people who help. Do you have a bit of time now and then, or a talent you want to put to use? Then we are looking for you. You choose yourself what you do and when.

Why your help makes the difference

Bronsgroen is not a large energy company. We are a cooperative of citizens, carried by citizens. Every solar panel on a school or town hall and every wind turbine in our own hands starts with people who talk about it, who explain it and who roll up their sleeves.

Today, hundreds of people from Limburg have already invested together in projects such as the wind turbine in Bilzen (Kieleberg) and the solar panels on De Harmonie and Jeugdheem De Reynaert in Wellen. Many more people from Limburg still need to get to know us, and you can help with that.

What can you do?

You choose yourself where your interest lies:

  • Hand out flyers

in your street or municipality, so your neighbours know they can become co-owners of local energy.

  • Staff stalls and events

to talk to people and explain how Bronsgroen works.

  • Help give workshops

share what you know, or help with the organisation.

  • Technical work

do you have technical knowledge? We can put it to good use.

  • Administration

behind the scenes too, there is work that makes the difference.

What's in it for you?

  • You see what you contribute.

Your effort helps directly to grow local, renewable energy in Limburg.

  • You do something with your talent.

Whether you like talking to people, can do something technical or are good at administration: there is a place for what you like to do.

  • You are not on your own.

Bronsgroen gets in touch with you and tells you what there is to do.

  • You belong straight away.

You help build a cooperative that is of and for people from Limburg.

Easy to start: this is how it works

  1. 1

    Fill in the form

with your name, email address, postcode and municipality. Your phone number is optional. Mark where your interests lie.

  2. 2

    Confirm your registration

    via the email you receive.

  3. 3

We get in touch with you

when there is something to do in your area or in your field of interest. Then you decide yourself whether you join in.

You do not have to be a cooperator to help. Are you already a cooperator? Then you can also click 'I want to help' in your OpenCoop-dashboard.

Signing up commits you to nothing: each time, you choose yourself whether you join in.

Will you join in?

Every hand counts. Sign up today, and we will let you know when we can use your help.
